Touch Screen Mobiles – Phones Using Touch Screen Technology
Posted in Mobile Devices | 1 Comment »There are a few pitfalls with mobile touch screen phones. As we all know, glass is breakable. Well, many handsets now use glass screens so if you are a klutz like me, then at one time or another you will have dropped your phone. So beware of the glass screen!
If you are used to doing a lot of texting and emailing on mobile phones, typing on the glass is quite different and somewhat hard to get used to. Phones with glass screens also tend to be quite expensive. Because they cost more to make, the increased costs are passed on the consumer. Use caution when looking solely at the price however, as it tends to be the cheaper phones that have the most problems.
It is a generally accepted fact that touch screen technology will become more and more advanced in the years to come. Cheap LG touch screen mobiles and Samsung touch screen mobiles have already flooded the market. Apple has just launched the iPad with massive advertising. However, it is really too early to tell how popular it will be in the market place. People are still testing and playing with it. However, is it only a matter of time before the iPad will replace iPod and the iPhone (touch screen mobile) as the leader in the market?
Many manufacturers will be taking advantage of Google’s new Android operating system. A whole bunch of Android phones haven’t been released into the market yet, but soon will be by numerous manufacturers.
And let’s not forget Microsoft who not too long ago released the Windows 7 operating system. The Windows Phone 7 of course uses an evolutions of the Windows 7 operating system. If this touch screen mobile phone is released on schedule, it should be in the shops around the Christmas season. It remains to be seen if the Windows Phone 7 will be a tough competitor for the iPhone. And there are manufacturers coming out with other products so we will see who the leader might be. Touch screen mobile phones might just revolutionize the whole telecom market.
