HP Tablet PCs – TC4400, TC4200, TC1000

HP TC1000 Tablet PC:

The HP TC1000 combines the best features of a tablet PC, a notebook and a desktop unit. It is the first portable computer with full functionality of a Windows PC. The TC1000 is fitted with Transmeta Crusoe TM5800 1.0 GHz processor. The machine comes with a stylus that adds the handwriting feature for extra convenience. Like TC1100 The tablet PC TC1000 can be expanded to a full desktop using the docking station. The dual monitor system allows you to view and access different applications simultaneously. The Compaq TC1000 Tablet PC is equipped with a NVIDIA GeForce 2 Go 100 graphics controller with a 16 MB SDRAM only for graphics. The 30 GB Hard drive is sufficient for storage of emails, notes and other documents. The tablet PC has two USB ports.

HP TC4200 Tablet PC:

The HP TC4200 has earned a lot of praise for its “solid” design. The computer is fitted with an Intel Pentium M 740 processor and is equipped with a 12.1” rotating display. It has a 512 MB DDR2 SDRAM and a 40 GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive. The HP Compaq TC4200 Tablet PC does not have an optical drive. Its unique features that set it apart from its contemporaries are a shock mounted hard drive, fast IR port and a pointing stick with 4 mouse buttons and a touch pad. The Compaq TC4200 Tablet PC is constructed using strong plastics and has a very sleek and professional appearance. Another plus point of the HP Tablet TC4200 is its spill-proof keyboard.

HP TC4400 Tablet PC:

The convertible model is an upgrade of the earlier model TC4200. The HP Compaq TC4400 Tablet PC has a Core Duo processor. This HP TC4400 Tablet PC has a 12.1” XGA display screen that has a 160-degree wide viewing angle. The screen is also equipped with an active digitizer. The glass of the screen has been treated to make it sparkle-free and to increase its durability. Though this HP Tablet Laptop has a decent battery life and good performance (512 MB SDRAM), it is recommended that you add more RAM to it for enhanced performance. HP TC4400 has a Seagate 80 GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive and the optical drive is available separately. The machine has a very sophisticated and professional look; it is ideal for business purposes.
