Along with better technology has also come a smaller computer, including a new class of computers called netbooks. A netbook is similar to a traditional laptop, but is smaller in size and typically includes a less robust feature set. The advantage of a netbook over a full-sized laptop is its extreme portability. In fact, it’s not uncommon for many netbooks to weigh close to 2 pounds, making them the perfect choice for people on the go. For people that have fallen in love with the pink laptop computer, the great news is that there are many netbooks available in the color pink. So, which computer should you go for – a netbook or a laptop?
As with most things, the decision will depend on your intended use. The netbook computer was designed for people that want to throw their computer in their backpack or neoprene sleeve. On the other hand, a traditional laptop can run any application that your desktop computer can including resource heavy software programs. A full sized laptop is also more comfortable to operate for most people, since the keyboard and screen are both sized normally.
The last big difference between a full sized laptop and a netbook is price. It makes sense that netbooks would be less expensive on average, and they are. On average, you should expect to pay between $300-350 for a netbook from the major computer manufacturers. On the other hand, most pink laptops on sale cost considerably more, particularly if you need a robust machine to handle specific software applications. Whatever you decide, both types of computers have their benefits and can accomplish a variety of common everyday tasks.
