The Eee PC 1005HA is the most recent computer notebook from ASUS. This notebook has found a nice balance between weight and functionality. It is a stylish computer notebook with commendable battery life and best internal configuration released recently.
Design and Features:
The configuration of this computer notebook is pretty good. It has 1 GB RAM and Intel Atom processor. This notebook computer has a reasonable memory capacity of 160 GB and uses Intel Atom N280 1.66 GHz processor. The DDR2 RAM used in this notebook clocks at 533MHz. It makes use of Mobile Intel 945 GM Express Chipset and also has an integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics card. The screen size is 10.1 inches and the notebook weighs around 2.9 to 3.4 pounds. It is 1.1 to 1.4 inches in thickness. Also, it uses stereo speakers, microphone jacks and headphone. It supports SD Card reader, 3 USB 2.0 ports and Ethernet ports. The wireless connections are supported through the in-built Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modems.
The 1005HA model uses six cell removable batteries, which lasts for six hours. This is highest battery time in any mini notebook computer. This notebook also has a lot of other power saving options which could be activated by holding the function key and hitting the space bar. The performance of the notebook is noteworthy. The 10.1 inch LCD monitor has high resolution and is backlit, which helps in reducing the power further.
The Good:
The hardware design is very good, sleek and attractive. ASUS Eee notebook offers a reasonably long battery life with various power optimization options. The configuration is good for a normal home computer notebook. Its multi functioning mouse touchpad works fine as well. There is also a 10 GB free online data storage subscription using which we can store files on a remote server. The quality products used inside the system and the sleek outer design further add to its value. Also, the1005HA Seashell uses the identical 92% of full size keyboard which was first found on the 1008HA model of Seashell.
The Bad:
There are not many defects in this small notebook computer. Though it meets all the expectations of common consumers, it’s a bit heavy and costly when compared to other notebooks with similar configurations.

Personally I think that the Asus N10e is an underated netbook, it has all of the specs of the similar lines, with the addition of the fingerprint reader. Most people don’t realize how great that little utility is, especially for a netbook. I don’t know about you but I like the ability to use my finger for logins and not have to worry about passwords. I’m wondering why this little netbook was left under the dust?
